Houston, USA: Youth Director

Seeking a Youth Director to plan and coordinate all aspects of the dynamic teen program at our rapidly growing nondoctrinal liberal church in the Clear Lake area. Responsibilities include communication, planning and implementing curriculum, youth worship, social action outreach, and recreation.

Essential qualities for this position are respect for and willingness to support people in their individual religious paths; experience with youth; good communication and leadership skills; and compatibility with liberal religious beliefs in general, and Unitarian Universalist principles and purposes specifically. Since you'll be working with youth, adaptability, creativity, good humor, and rapport with teens are important. Computer and writing skills a plus. Applicant must be 25 yrs old with a good driving history and no criminal record.

Half-time, contract basis. Expansion of the position possible as church grows.
